Labia majora fat transfer (lipofilling) restores volume to atrophic labia majora, so that they better cover the labia minora. The patient’s own fat is harvested with a cannula (mons pubis, abdomen or inner thighs), prepared, then re-injected into the labia majora. The procedure takes 45 minutes at the Clinique Oxford in Cannes, under general anaesthesia or local anaesthesia with sedation, as day surgery. Who is it for?
As the years go by, the labia majora lose volume and firmness. This atrophy leaves the labia minora more visible. Fat transfer restores volume to the labia majora, which then cover them again.
It can be carried out on its own, or at the same time as a labiaplasty to reduce the labia minora.
