The non-surgical mini facelift, or “full face” injection, rejuvenates the face without surgery in the early stages of ageing. It combines, in the same session, hyaluronic acid injections to restore volume (cheekbones, folds, jawline) and Botox injections to relax the muscles that pull downwards (neck). The session lasts 30 minutes at the practice in Cannes, under anaesthetic cream and cold; social downtime ranges from 0 to 72 hours. The result is natural and lasts 8 to 16 months.
Price: €1,500 to €2,500; the consultation before the injection is free.
Who is it for?
In the early stages of ageing, the jawline (the contour of the jaw) is disrupted by small jowls, the nasolabial folds deepen, the cheekbone loses volume and sags, and bands may appear in the neck. The non-surgical mini facelift harmonises the contours and restores volume.
When the jowls are more pronounced and the neck looser, it is no longer enough: a face and neck lift is then indicated; and when the cheekbone has lost its volume and sagged, a midface lift.

What does the non-surgical mini facelift correct?
All areas
Blue-green: hyaluronic acid; blue-grey dots: Botox. Tap an area to show it on its own.
The jawline
Hyaluronic acid is injected in front of and behind the jowl to redefine a younger jaw contour; the marionette lines are filled at the same time.
The neck
Botox, injected into the neck bands, puts the platysma muscle at rest; the contraction of this muscle contributes to the sagging of the neck. If this muscle does not contract, Botox has no effect on the neck. Lines on the neck are treated with a skin booster.
The midface
At the same time, hyaluronic acid restores the volume of the cheekbones and fills the nasolabial folds, when their deepening is due to loss of volume.
Before: small jowls, deep folds, hollowed cheekbones, neck bands.
How does a non-surgical mini facelift work?
- ConsultationFree before the injection, at the practice, 101 rue d’Antibes in Cannes: analysis of your face at rest and in movement, choice of areas and products; if a facelift would suit you better, Dr Médard de Chardon will tell you.
- SessionAt the practice, in about 30 minutes, after an anaesthetic cream and cold.
- Touch-upSometimes needed within the following month, free of charge if there is an imperfection.
What is the recovery like?
- Bruising: most often none, or very slight, hidden by make-up.
- Slight swelling (oedema), common for 2 to 3 days.
- Social life: downtime of 48 to 72 hours at most, often none.
- Hyaluronic acid: immediate result, very slightly enhanced by the swelling for 48 hours.
- Botox: effect from day 3, optimal within 10 to 15 days.
- Duration: the result lasts 8 to 16 months.
Where will you be?
14 days after the session
How is the result maintained?
With new injections: once a year for hyaluronic acid and twice a year for Botox. At maintenance sessions, the amount of hyaluronic acid is often smaller than at the first session.
What are the risks?
The most common side effects are temporary swelling and bruising. More rarely: small irregularities or nodules, asymmetry, an inflammatory reaction or infection; for Botox, a passing headache. In exceptional cases, hyaluronic acid can block a blood vessel; this is an emergency, treated with hyaluronidase, combined with cortisone and aspirin.
Contraindications: pregnancy and breastfeeding, an active skin infection in the area, certain autoimmune diseases; for Botox, certain neuromuscular diseases.
Choosing a qualified, experienced and reputable surgeon reduces these risks, and can even eliminate some of them.

Frequently asked questions about the non-surgical mini facelift
How long does a non-surgical mini facelift last?
The result lasts 8 to 16 months. It is maintained with one hyaluronic acid session a year and two Botox sessions a year.
Does the non-surgical mini facelift replace a facelift?
No, not when sagging is marked. It is suitable for the early stages of ageing; when the jowls are pronounced and the neck is loose, only a facelift tightens the tissues for the long term.
Is the result of a non-surgical mini facelift natural?
Yes. Volume is restored where it has been lost, without freezing the face; Botox is limited to the muscles that pull downwards.
Can I return to my activities straight after a non-surgical mini facelift?
Most often, yes. Slight swelling may last 2 to 3 days; social downtime does not exceed 72 hours.
What is a “full face” injection?
It is another name for the non-surgical mini facelift: the face is treated as a whole, in one session, rather than one area in isolation.
How much does a non-surgical mini facelift cost in Cannes?
€1,500 to €2,500. The consultation before the injection is free.
